With this just the beginning of Ashleigh’s exciting journey, she is also set to release a brand new EP series in the coming year which will no doubt continue to solidify her as one of 2021’s artists to watch.
Opening with a delicate and melodic guitar led instrumental, it’s not long before Ashleigh’s bold and warm vocals emerge onto the sonic landscape, dripping with passion and soul and exuding a mesmerizing and intoxicating aura. With a laid-back, restful instrumentation running throughout, perfectly accompanied by Ashleigh’s skilled vocals cadences that float effortlessly above; the song also showcases her candid lyricism that sees her explore the universal feelings, experiences and emotions of the love and pain we go through in our everyday lives and relationships. An all-round stunning release, this is a perfect track for all your chill, lazy Sunday morning playlists!
Talking about the single, Ashleigh explains:
“‘Angel’ is about self-liberation, understanding and valuing yourself through past experiences with relationships and society. The song centres around the concept of self-love, self-confidence, self-pride and unity—taking you on a journey through a relationship between two lovers. I wanted the listener to be able to determine what emotion and mood they felt when they listened to the song.”
