A fresh collaboration between acclaimed vocalist Marieme and electronic producer Stephan Jacobs, known creatively as BOSA, BIGGER THAN US seeks to explore much more than just music. Through their sound, they search through human connection, ego, and physicality, centring their approach with love and breaking down sonic boundaries.
With their debut EP THE BEGINNING, the pair pull on their individuality and creativity, taking it into vast new spaces. The sound combines Marieme’s powerful, soulful and passionate sound with Stephan’s global influence and immense electronic composition.
BIGGER THAN US balances punch and emotion. Their sound is thoughtful, filled with wisdom and ethereal, but also brings a hypnotic, experimental feel. The duo put forward euphoria through untameable battles between electronic and organic soundscapes. Harmonically rich, rhythmically assertive and deeply reflective, the project has it all, and is a statement of a debut EP.
Marieme and Stephan share, “This project didn’t come from us, we just channelled the universe’s call for balance. Every time we were in the studio it was like entering a flow state where we were not bound by anything. This collaboration is truly bigger than us, it made us feel again and activated us and we’re honoured to be able to share it with everyone, it’s our dose of Love. ‘The Beginning’ EP is just the first offering.
