Making his emergence onto the music scene last year, bedroom-pop artist BINNY introduced us to his sound with a series of addictive R&B, pop-led releases. Hailing from Maryland, BINNY’s musical journey began from an early age, growing up in a musical household; learning the piano from the tender age of 6. With his passion for music growing, this progressed to him self-teaching the guitar and eventually moving onto song writing and producing. Delivering a sound that puts a modern spin on more throwback 90s vibes, BINNY fuses together his love of underground music with trap-influenced drum beats and smooth 808 bass lines to produce a fresh new sound; showcasing this most recently on his latest single Prime.
Taking inspiration from underground and gritty pop stars such as Charli XCX, Justin Timberlake, and Britney Spears, BINNY delivers a track that drips with conviction and sass; highlighting his personal and artistic growth and self-confidence. A contrast to the ocean inspired production of his previous single Deep End, Prime is a dazzling and anthemic track all about self-empowerment; filled with killer hooks, addictive 808s and a slick and rhythmic electronic-led production. Bringing disparate sonic elements together, BINNY fuses rap and spoken sounding elements with stunning and skilled vocal riffs and falsettos, embodying the complexity of BINNY’s dynamic artistry with the inclusion of fresh and unexpected elements.
