Delivering some stunning new visuals, North London indie pop-rock artist Natalie Shay has recently dropped her brand new music video for her track Naked; taken off of her latest release – her 2020 EP of the same name.
With a series of incredible releases throughout the year; Natalie’s latest five-track EP NAKED saw the rising songwriter delving into the everyday experiences of a 21 year old, and exploring narratives that deal with relationships and life as a young musician. The title track of the same name illustrates the breakdown of a relationship; and knowing that your interest now lies somewhere else, but struggling to let go of the relationship due to the fear of being alone.
In keeping with the theme of the track; the new music video for Naked, released last month, delivers a stunning and cinematic visual, and depiction, of the breakdown of a relationship. Set on a quiet and scenic beach, the video flicks back and forth between the past and the present; illustrated by the warm, softly lit montages of the past, transitioning to the dark moonlight backdrop of the present. Setting the scene with a red car pulling up onto a beach at night, we Natalie dressed in a beautiful wedding dress, although with no intention of saying “I do”; and she flashes back to how she got to this point where “I do” becomes “I can’t”.
