Taking influence from his South Carolinian roots, hailing from the city of Columbia in that state, Casey Carmichael’s folk sound comes at the end of a years-long journey of musical and self-discovery. As a Berklee College of Music graduate, Casey’s training has taken him across genres, including R&B, jazz and classic rock.
Continuing to grow within his most recent iteration, the glowing, soft, gentle, sacredly simple folk of Casey Carmichael is back once again in ‘Come Home, My Love’. With music rooted in delivering emotion in the most palatable way possible, Casey bounds through acoustic guitar chords tenderly strummed alongside distant drums and rich, clean electric guitar.
Shining through his vocals, Casey speaks directly to his wife, allowing the audience to share in the love that he holds for her, his poetic lyricism a superbly written invite into a palace of affection.
Sharing the meaning behind the music, Casey adds, “This song was written for my beautiful wife. I miss her every day that she is away from me at work. Our love has inspired many songs; this one simply describes me awaiting her arrival at the end of a long day.”
