Refreshing and uplifting, Conal Kelly’s distinctive charm and quirky production makes his new track ‘Mallory (Nobody Quite Like You)’ really stand out from the crowd. The Bristol native is no stranger to genre-defying, alt-pop inclinations and with support from notable BBC tastemakers, it’s no surprise that this new track packs the punch that it does. Energising and addictive, this isn’t the last you’ll hear of Conal Kelly’s strain of pop magic.
Speaking on his latest single, Conal explains: “Initially when I wrote the song, it wasn’t about anyone in particular, but I knew I wanted to have a name as the title. For the longest time I had the name ‘Emily’ stuck in my head, which was the name of my housemate’s girlfriend… so I figured I better think of something else. Fortunately ‘Mallory’ fits the melody perfectly and also, doesn’t get me into trouble, which is always a bonus.”
