Contemporary Club release exuberant debut ‘Belong’

Making their debut in South East London, Contemporary Club are a fresh four-piece band. Bringing influence from previous musical eras Britpop and Shoegaze to their indie glow, the band want to bring nothing but catchy melodies, bouncing riffs and energetic performances to their careers.

Contemporary Club have made a shimmering debut. Their first soirée is entitled ‘Belong’, and provides a fabulous showcase into the world I am sure early fans will see them create as they grow as a band. The nostalgic guitar tones, punk-edged but infectiously melodic vocals, furiously driving drums and grooving bass show the youthful passion that the band bring in impressive amounts.

The three-minute runtime is intense and vibrant, feeling like a far longer anthemic piece thanks to the sustained energy that you almost can’t keep up with as a listener. With an exciting future ahead of them and more music on the horizon, this is a group to keep an eye on.

Contemporary Club shares, ”Belong was written, recorded and produced entirely by ourselves at home. We wrote the song about cherishing being a teenager and having fun with friends and other halves, as well as feeling at home in the town we grew up in.”
