Forming in South East London, Contemporary Club are a four-piece whose love for Shoegaze, Britpop and Indie ties their sound together. With a vintage twang but youthful exuberance, the lads are on a quest to find catchy melodies and energising riffs.
Contemporary Club’s second single and latest release lies in the magic of ‘Plastic Dream’. The band’s steady ethereality through graceful distortions clouding electric guitar and truly raw vocal performances gives the music a transcendent feel, putting forth authenticity above all else. The feelings of love seem to cover the vision of our protagonist, desperately trying to find the dreamy rose-tinted world his mind is set on. Showcasing a different side to their songwriting, Contemporary Club continue to harbour excitement at debut.
The quartet add, ”Plastic Dream is another track we wrote and recorded ourselves. It is a valentine-esque indie rock ballad that focuses on tearing at the hearts of two lovers, and wanting to run away with a special someone to escape the world.”
