“When I fall apart, I hope you’ll be there”
Making his emergence onto the music scene earlier this year with the release of his debut single White Wine, rising artist Cyrano is back today with the release of his latest new single, Tundra. Hailing from Scotland, Cyrano is a rising artist and talented producer and multi-instrumentalist who is firmly placing his mark on the music scene with his vibrant and eclectic artistry, that features melodic indie soundscapes, elements of electronic soul, and expertly produced left-field beats. With more to come, and an exciting year ahead for Cyrano, he is no doubt one of this year’s exciting new artists to watch.
Marking the first instalment from his upcoming debut EP, Consolations, and a taste of what we can expect from Cyrano next; Tundra brings us into a vibrant and immersive sonic world that sees him deliver an honest exploration of social anxiety. Opening the track with an electro-synth based instrumental that captures you from the very beginning, the song transitions into an enchanting and soulful electronic, indie-led melody, where Cyrano’s soft and gentle vocals give off an emotive and heart-felt energy. As the track progresses and the chorus hits, the soundscape builds to incorporate a more up-tempo dance style beat and infectious vibe before returning to the more poignant instrumental.
“I wanted to make a track so chaotic, that could mirror the oscillating and often unpredictable feeling of social anxiety, and the journey it can take you on. Our aim was to break our beats and the norms of a song structure to keep things as irrational as life itself when these feelings arise.”
