‘They’re singing “Deck the Halls/ But it’s not like Christmas at all’
Following the release of her infectious summer anthem Candy earlier this year, last week, rising multi-talented singer, songwriter and actress Elle Winter came back with a brand new release. Ending the year on a festive note, and getting into the Christmas spirit, Elle has delivered a stunning cover of the classic track Christmas (Baby Please Come Home). Placing her signature spin on the holiday classic, she is also showcasing aesthetic vibes through the stunning and Christmassy music video accompanying the track. With new music on the horizon, and more incredible releases to come from Elle as we head into 2022; this is a perfect introduction to what we can expect from her over the next year, as she gears up to release a collection of new music that focuses on female empowerment, love, and more.
One of Elle’s favourite holiday songs; she takes the classic, throwback rock-led track and places her fresh, modern spin on it in her new cover version. Maintaining elements of the original 60s version, Elle seamlessly blends it with her up-tempo soulful pop vocals to create something truly stunning and classic. And to add to the release, Elle also dropped some brand new festive visuals alongside the track that effortlessly bridges her love of the holiday season with her stylistic eye for aesthetics; featuring Elle dressed to the nines, perched in front of a classic microphone, as she belts her heart out against a picturesque backdrop of Christmas trees and perfectly wrapped presents.
Talking about the inspiration behind the new track, Elle explains:
“This festive song is an introduction to my new music project that will be released at the top of next year. My new music is soulful, empowering pop with a real throwback quality. This new project incorporates musical elements from songs that I have listened to and loved my whole life, and that have shaped me as an artist. I am fortunate to be working on this new project with a Grammy-nominated production and songwriting team and a 60’s legend who has inspired all of us with his impactful music, even including this Christmas classic. As the holiday season is upon us, it is time to not only reflect on a difficult past year, but to have gratitude and hope for the future. I wish everyone a happy and healthy holiday!”
