FONN explores the challenging topic of mental health in electro-pop track ‘Good Light In’

Shimmering single ‘Good Light In’ marks the emergence of electro-pop singer/songwriter FONN. Speaking about his new release, FONN explains: “This song is really about finding hope, dealing with issues of isolation and depression, and living for yourself.”

FONN is clearly inspired by the topic of mental health, something he combines with his love of artists including Bon Iver, The 1975 and Japanese House. Featuring shimmering synths and buoyant beats, the song borrows elements from alt-rock, indie-folk and 80s inspired prog pop to form a kaleidoscope of sounds, tied together by FONN’s mellifluous vocals.

Devon born and London based FONN is yet to have the opportunity to break free from the global pandemic and make his mark on the live stage however, over lockdown he has established the YouTube series ‘live from lockdown’ which has accumulated almost 20,000 views. He is also looking towards a future collaboration at Exeter Cathedral where he will showcase is debut EP in collaboration with various other forms of media including movement artists and sculpture.

‘Good Light In’ is clearly the start of much more to come with FONN showing huge potential and a great ethos for future creation.
