Giant Killers ask themselves ‘Who Am I Fooling?’

Cult-classic alt-rock heroes Giant Killers have revived their 90s indie rock roots with releases that have laid dormant for far too long. With their latest unveiling, the single ‘Who Am I Fooling?’ they continue to rise from obscurity and reclaim their position from nearly three decades ago with driving guitars, catchy grooves and true-to-life lyricism with a rebellious spirit.

Touching on themes of regret and redemption, what some might say is a perfect fit for a band looking to rediscover their spotlight, they dive through nostalgic soundscapes of raw guitars and synth design. The drums cut through with sharp snares and the vocal melodies lend themselves to a poetic reflectiveness.

Joining the release are two bonus tracks, a piano-driven edition of ‘This Is The Time Of Our Lives’, featuring Blur keyboardist Diana Gutkind, and an acoustic preview of ‘It’s My Time Now’ from their upcoming 2025 album.

Giant Killers comment ont heir return, “There’s a special kind of delight and a delicious irony in being ‘introduced’ after 30 years – it’s a potent reminder from the universe that good things may come to those who wait. Which in one sense is the principal message in our ‘debut’ album, Songs for the Small Places!.. We’re hoping to build on our introduction, maybe a firm handshake or even a hug. As ever, we live in hope!”
