Gillian Heidi delivers her new single Moonlight; a pensive ballad imbued with soaring harmonies and sparse, meditative instrumentals.
The latest in her incredible series of releases this year, as she continues to develop and hone her artistic style; pop singer-songwriter Gillian Heidi is back with her new, and final, single of the year, with the release of her brand new track Moonlight – out yesterday!
Beginning with a gentle, stripped back guitar melody; Gillian’s vocals are instantly at the forefront of the delicate soundscape, showcasing her skilled and emotive vocal cadences. With Gillian’s voice the standout feature on the track, the soft instrumental melodies melt against the sonic background. As the song progresses, a gently thrumming bassline is introduced onto the sonic landscape alongside rhythmic pop beats.
“The song is about the vulnerability of first falling in love and the beautiful fear that comes with it,” Gillian explains. “It’s one of my most vulnerable and truthful songs. It was the first real love song I’ve ever written and it means a lot to me.“
With her debut album, 3AM, set for release early next year; we can expect more incredible releases, and another great year in music for Gillian, as we head towards 2021.
