Starting off the year with another incredible release, emerging singer-songwriter Jack Omstead delivers his brand new single AEIOU.
Dutch-born, Toronto-based artist Jack Omstead emerged onto the music scene last year, delivering a spectacular series of single releases and introducing us to his unique brand of bedroom, indie-pop artistry. Captivating listeners with a combination of introspective lyrics and vibrant melodies; Jack’s passion for music and composition began at the tender age of eight when he first began creating songs on GarageBand, with his love for music really coming into its own in his High School days. He has since been working on his craft, and honing his skills, drawing inspiration from the likes of Justin Timberlake and Frank Sinatra. And today, he delivers his latest offering and first single of the year, with the release of his brand new track AEIOU.
Self-produced and self-recorded, AEIOU is the latest example of Jack’s skilled and multi-talented artistry that never fails to put you in a brilliant mood. With dazzling synths and punchy basslines, the track opens with a captivating pop-led instrumental, accompanied by Jack’s unique and enchanting vocals. As the song progresses, the vibrant soundscape is layered with an addictive EDM beat that runs throughout, and provides a captivating dance vibe that is impossible to resist. Alongside the dazzling melodies is Jack’s skilled lyricism, that playfully tells the narrative of young love through an array of comparisons that includes everything from the sun and fire to JLo and “The Block”.
Talking about the meaning behind the track, Jack explains:
“’AEIOU’ is a happy, pop project filled with clever word play relating to feelings of youthful love. As the opening line says: “AEIOU, even vowels know I need U””
