Komanii shares politically-charged ‘HURRA’

Born and raised in Nairobi, Kenya, Komanii has lived around the world, but his artistry first took root after a move to the USA. Since then, Komanii has based himself in London, honing his skills in rap and production, collaborating with like-minded artists and releasing a string of new music.

Returning from a year-long hiatus, and making his presence known for the struggles faced around the world, Komanii’s latest single is entitled ‘HURRA’. Over a soulful sample, steady drums and a grooving bass line, Komanii delivers lyricism highlighting his support for Palestine and minorities around the globe being exploited.

The track’s final moments are filled with swelling synths, highlighting the dark undertones of Komanii’s positivity, the hurt and the oppression, leaving a sentiment of injustice to inspire others.

On the political nature of the track, Komanii leaves a final comment, “From the river to the sea… Black and Brown Liberation is waiting”.
