Ky Bailey shares melancholic folk-pop of ‘Does Life Get Easier’

23-year-old indie-folk rising star Ky Bailey has morphed from underground hip-hop to the delicateness of ethereal acoustic guitar and wistful pop production. Now influenced by the likes of Bon Iver and Joji, the Philadelphian has embraced a new persona in Ky Bailey, after a string of successful releases as KB Pablo.

With his debut EP Does Life Get Easier?, Ky harnesses melancholy and love, floating and falling through gorgeous atmospheres rooted in vulnerable guitars and reverberating backdrops.

His lyricism is affecting and passionate, but sensitive and poignant, poetic in delivery. Receiving audiences of over 100k for each teaser single, the project is set to inspire those same fans, holding dear the things that matter, and bundling it in with a heartfelt wisdom.

Ky adds, “Vulnerability, authenticity and peace are the three feelings I embodied on this release. This is by far my most mature release since I started making music, creating a short but incredible timeline of love, loss and life. I took inspiration from Bon Iver whilst wanting to recreate the clean production style of the likes of Taylor Swift and the emotional, laid-back chord progressions of Joji, Gotye and D4vd.”
