“I put my phone down/ Actually I threw it at the wall”
Earlier this month, LA-based Alt-Pop songstress L E A came back with an exciting new release, F U LOL. Her first release of the year, following on from her previous single Lollipop, the brand new track marks an exciting new chapter for L E A with this seeing her move in a new sonic direction. Previously giving off a more pop-led sound and vibe, F U LOL heralds the next era of music from L E A as she shifts into a more alt-rock space and starts on an exciting pop punk journey – involving some of the most iconic punk and rock artists of our youth.
Bold and hard-hitting, F U LOL is a rhythmic and captivating track that gives off an addictive punk-pop energy that is impossible to resist. A true alt-pop, punk-rock collaboration; the track was written alongside Mike Grubbs of Wakey!Wakey!, produced by successful 2000’s acoustic emo artist Chase Coy, and features drums and mix by Carl Bahner from Cheerleader. And placed seamlessly alongside L E A’s vibrant and emotive vocals, Casey Cavaliere of The Wonder Years and emerging talent Tyler Drama provide stunning harmonies and accompaniment with light backing vocals.
With new music on the horizon for the talented artist, F U LOL delivers the latest taste of L E A’s sonic style, and what we can expect from her this year.
