Laura Violet is an ambient classical producer that is creating her own unique and signature sound. Empowered by women who are quickly taking their rightful seats int he classical sector, Laura aims to fuse old with new within her tracks. Not only is she inspired by classical music, but she’s also hugely inspired by underground ambient music. Her unique and signature sound has seen her create music from vulnerable, soft piano offerings to larger-than-life soundscapes.
Her latest release “Deep Lake” is a peaceful but enticing offering. The track showcases Laura’s incredible ability of engaging audiences whilst using minimal instrumentation. The track fuses together lushes string sections with piano lines, growing textually throughout the track as they ebb and flow. Accompanying, a beautifully shot music video works hand in glove with Laura’s latest offering.
Speaking about the single she says: “Deep Lake is an emotional journey about exploring the feelings that lie under the surface. I wanted the track to express these feelings of chaos and despair, but end in hopefulness and optimism – like a form of catharsis. The dancer in the film expressed these feelings through movement and by throwing herself into the landscape as a symbol of giving up control, and giving into that feeling.”
Her accolades have been huge. The release of her first album ‘Panchaia’ in 2021 catapulted her catalog into the minds of creatives who have since licensed her music for use in media, a sync album on Universal Music has also followed in 2022. With growing recognition, Laurel Violet is doing everything right to get to the top.
