Upcoming duo MURMAN have released their high-octane new single ‘Achilles’, offering a classic rock sound and relentless energy. Fueled by spirited percussion, driving guitar hooks and a distinctive bassline, ‘Achilles’ refuses to be confined to traditional tempo structures. The track is partnered with a music video that brings together the band’s love of film with their kinetic live performances.
Speaking about their new video, MURMAN explains: “We’ve always liked the idea of using old movies in our videos to provide a story arch, and seeing as restrictions have meant that we’re unable to film together in person, we had to get more creative and improvise.”
David Murdoch and Abbi Knell formed MURMAN unconventionally by meeting through a GumTree ad, and have carried that sense of uniqueness through to their music. They have played iconic venues across London, including Scala, The Windmill Brixton, The Shacklewell Arms and The Waiting Room. Already making waves across the capital, MURMAN are sure to expand their following further with their dynamic new single ‘Achilles’.
