Luchi echoes these feelings in his motivations behind the song, “The song focuses on that excitement at the start of a relationship where you are falling in love and feel like you want to spend all your time talking to this person. I am fiercely independent and love my alone time, but in this situation I was realizing that I was on my own and wanting to still be with them. I wrote this song just with an acoustic guitar sound and with my producer Chris Stagg, we worked on quite a few different ways to present the song and different sounds but then landed on the sound you hear now.”
