Hailing from Cincinnati, singer-songwriter Lydia Shae has been performing with her band across the Midwest for over a decade. Rooting her music in a blend of both bluegrass and pop, Lydia pulls from this unique combination for an emotionally intense sound that feels natural and authentic. Inspired by the songwriting of music titans like Brandi Carlile, The Avett Brothers and Taylor Swift, her unfiltered nature has earned her a strong initial fanbase.
Making her record debut in 2024 with the teaser singles for the project, Lydia Shae has now released her new album ‘Decade Diaries’. Her core songwriting values are placed under the spotlight, allowing her empowering vocal performances to shine, supported by talented musicianship from guitarist Josh Belcher, percussionist Zach Sabatelli and bassist Andrew Baughman. Her folk-pop fusion provides listeners with passionate anthems, each song spellbinding audiences as the ensemble rises to momentous climaxes. In amongst the dynamic performances, lies plenty of vulnerable moments, with the fragility becoming an incredible contrast to assuredness, stripping back the music to a soft glow.
Lydia adds, “Decade Diaries is an album that compresses a coming-of-age era of autobiographical writing. From finding love, experiencing loss, and discovering yourself, it’s all in there.”
