Gloucestershire based Maisie Gaffney is an exciting young artist whose debut EP “Escapes” absolutely brims with potential. The up and coming singer tackles a variety of covers by a wide scope of artists, ranging from Whitney Houston, to Drake, to Swedish House Mafia. Indeed, Maisie demonstrates the remarkable versatility of her voice whilst making the selection of tracks her own.
Discussing the inspiration behind the EP, Maisie explained: “During lockdown it was so depressing and the only way I was able to escape that was to listen and create music in my own little bubble. I want everyone to feel the same through music.” Indeed, with us all currently dealing with the effects of Lockdown, the need for an escape of sorts is certainly poignant.
Still at the very start of her musical journey, her brilliant voice and an abundance of talent is clear. Surely, she is an artist to keep an ear out for.
