Manpreet Kundi has already earned high praise. Comments from publications, a feature on Spotify’s ‘Easy’ editorial playlist and being named as an ‘On The Map’ artist on the BBC Asian Network, Manpreet’s reflective and ethereal sound has been lauded from across the industry.
The Berkshire songwriter’s latest single is a track entitled ‘unresolved’, a song in which Manpreet crafts a delicate and honest insight into fear, romance and wistfulness. As she glides through soft but soaring vocal melodies, the instrumentation rises alongside, with strings building a heartbreaking atmosphere, an acoustic guitar gently gliding through arpeggios and twinkling percussion floating above the melancholy. When all is stripped back towards the end of the track, Manpreet continues to shine, positioning herself at the centre of the track as she seems to fall in love all over again.
Manpreet explains the new single, ”‘unresolved’ is a guitar lullaby I wrote telling a tale of innocent, undefined love; like watching sunrises in cars parked on streets, and feeling a way you never have before in your life. With sweet hopefulness, doubt creeps in as silence follows a moment you thought was significant.
This is the fourth single from a concept EP close to my heart; with each song embodying a significant part of the story surrounding the EP. This body of work has been developed in a home studio, and co-produced entirely with my boyfriend.”
