Mayflow drops 2025 kick-starter ‘Moon’

After returning in 2024, electronic duo Mayflow continued their resurgence into 2025 with the release of ‘Moon’, a brooding and pulsating single that explores the weight of human emotion. It’s bold and fresh, fusing together elements of techno and elements of hip-hop, wrapped in a hypnotic soundscape.

Opening with a stark spoken-word monologue, it becomes haunting through layered drum production, immersive synth and a hard-hitting sonic journey. The balances struggle with resonance for a club-ready anthem with plenty of captivating emotion.

The duo shares, “I wrote ‘MOON’ about depression and the power that it can hold over somebody’s life. Penning the track was somewhat of an autobiographical experience of the last ten years of my life. I don’t want to tell anyone how to live their life, but depression can affect people in so many ways: it might get better, it might get worse. You might get into the lowest place of your life, but you must remember that life is for living.”

Mayflow was born in the depths of COVID-19, when Mayford Fox and Lowkey first crossed paths, connecting online. Since their debut in 2021, they’ve traversed a range of themes, often diving into mental health and self-acceptance.
