Moanday and Danny Schiller – ‘La Molina’

Back with the release of their latest new 2021 single, Madrid-based indie duo Moanday – composed of Madrid born musicians Rafael Pérez Santonja and Pablo Vergara de Cantos – have teamed up with fellow Spanish-American crooner Danny Schiller on their brand new single, La Molina. Embarking on their musical journey last year, delivering their debut single, Tell Me; La Molina is the follow up to Moanday’s Blue Ceiling and  their series of new-age indie-funk singles. Inspired by the likes of Michael Jackson, James Brown, Prince and Tame Impala, Moanday are no doubt one of this year’s emerging artists to watch; delivering captivating beats and addictive melodies, all stemming from their unique musical approach and vision.

Perfectly in sync with the sound we are coming to know and love from Moanday, La Molina is an enchanting and groovy synth-pop ray of sunshine that blends cultures, genres and languages together in an effort to encourage listeners to try and not take life too seriously. Created during Danny’s trip to Spain this past summer, where he first met the Madrid-based duo, the group found an instant musical kinship; bringing together Danny’s chill and melodic indie-pop vibes with Moanday’s up-tempo, funk-led energy. Laden with funky guitars, glimmering synths, and a catchy and rhythmic percussive beat that runs throughout; the track brings listeners into a bright and warm sonic world that is impossible to resist, and makes you want to get up and dance.
