Oh Buddy! share infectious debut single ‘Wrong Thing’

School friends turned creative partners, Chase Bader and Conor Kelly are the duo behind indie-pop newcomers Oh Buddy!. Collaborating with Grammy-winning producer Nick Lobel, and bringing in experience from previous success as part of the 7-piece band Waker, the group are already making a splash as both artists and sync writers.

Bringing with them fresh frequencies masterfully brushed into a summer anthem, Oh Buddy!’s debut single ‘Wrong Thing’ is a bright, breezy, energetic and fun first release. Joyous rhythms decorate the spectrum, each one grabbing at its place in the spotlight, the instrumentation pulls listeners from left to right, letting loose a waterfall of danceable vibes. Funky bass lines, energetic drums and heavenly melodies aside, the vocals leave an impression with non-stop infectious lines. Oh Buddy! have created a sunny musical bliss.

Chase speaks on the upcoming EP, “Where All Your Ends Just Meet” feels like the closing of one door and the opening of another. During the writing and recording of these songs there was so much change in both my life and Conor’s that was good and bad but led to so much positive change. This EP feels like the first step into a new world for us where there are no ceilings and we get to creatively express our vision for the first time with true freedom. Oh Buddy! is an exciting chapter in our lives that we can’t wait to see who it connects with.”

With Conor also sharing, “Where All Your Ends Just Meet”, is a collection of songs that truly capture Chase and I during some of our most vulnerable moments. From the beginnings of Covid and all the way through the end of last year, we have endured some of life’s highest highs and lowest lows, together. These songs are very special to me in that way, because when I hear them, I can instantly go back to that moment in time and remember just how hard and wonderful life can be. In a lot of ways, listening to these songs feels like watching a movie of the last few years of my life.”
