After an incredible debut year last year, and introducing us to his charismatic and captivating artistry that spans across an eclectic range of genres – from hip-hop, to pop, to indie, to rap; rising artist Pat is back with a bang as he kick starts the year off with the release of a brand new single, his latest track – Footprints In The Sand. Delivering his signature sound and style, Footprints In The Sand is the beginning of a brand new chapter for Pat, heralding the release of more new music to come this year, with it being the first single to be taken from his next project, £5 Flights, which is set for release later this Spring. Opening the track with a melodic and ambient instrumental, we see a new side to Pat as he steps away from his usual rapping style to accompany the melody with some stunning vocals; showcasing his talent and skill for singing, before the song smoothly transitions to a more up-tempo beat and Pat is back to spitting rhythmic bars with his usual finesse. Chilled and immersive, the track is a fantastic new addition to Pat’s rapidly expanding discography and delivers the perfect vibe for the more tranquil winter days. Accompanying the release, Pat also dropped some brand new visuals for the track that sees him enjoying a solo winter beach day as he reflects, writes lyrics and makes some footprints in the sand; all with a bottle of Tyskie in hand – a nod to his earlier single.
Talking about the track, Pat explains:
“‘Footprints In The Sand’ is a song about longing for better days, I wrote this song at a weird time in my life where there was a lot of turbulence and new things happening and I was in a bit of a panic about where my life is gonna go. The image of the footprints used throughout the song represents me walking into the unknown and leaving behind all the worries that I am holding on to it is a reflective and hopeful song which I hope people connect to and feel a sense of comfort through.”
