Izzy Frances has re-released her 2019 track ‘Safety’, this time offering a demo version of the dreamy pop ballad. The new rendition sees Izzy’s celestial vocals wrap around moody piano chords and soaring synths. Where Izzy excels most is her intimate, candid songwriting and this stripped-back version of ‘Safety’ allows the emotional lyrics to take centre stage.
Izzy revealed more about her new release: “I wrote ‘Safety’ over two days with Drew Lawrence and Shani Rose in Drew’s home studio in LA. This recording was also done over those 2 days with two vocal takes and I wanted to release it as I think it really captures the raw emotion behind the song. ‘Safety’ is about being brave and being bold and embracing who you really are. Too often we hide the darkest parts of ourselves and stop ourselves from truly connecting and living. ‘Safety’ is about releasing your truth and learning to love and live fully and vibrantly.”
Since making her debut in 2019, UK based Izzy Frances has received consistent support from BBC Introducing, as well as being placed on a number of notable Spotify editorial playlists. Her single ‘Stay With Me’, released earlier this year, reached the Top 10 in the iTunes singer-songwriter charts, and Izzy Frances is set to continue flourishing as the year goes on.
