After blowing us away with his incredibly catchy single ‘Loco’ nearer the start of the year, Reading’s own K.Kayne is back with another infectious earworm in the form of ‘Writing Stage’.
Just like what we heard on ‘Loco’, his newest endeavour sees him deliver a warmer and more heartfelt approach to his sound. With an aesthetic that dabbles with pop, R&B, and rap throughout, this sweeping new groove perfectly cements him as an artist we need to keep an eye on right now.
Adding about ‘Writing Stage’, “Writing Stage was written after a week of writer’s block. I had ideas about being stuck in the writing stage, but realise that you’re always in one when writing. This was my first song with more painful lyrics about difficult things in life.”
With such a light and laid-back demeanour throughout his work to date, K.Kayne has a real knack for getting through to the listener and offering a powerful message within his progressive prose.
