Dance and reggaeton singer-songwriter Spencer Flay first saw attention in 2018, with the BBC becoming fascinated with his routine of writing songs in his crane cab. The tracks made high above the Bristol Docks feature flay on his ukulele, guitar, keys and loop station and have allowed him to entice an audience with the unique approach.
The latest from Spencer Flay is his new track ‘Out Out’ which features the vocal prowess of fellow artist Nicole Silva. Twangy, upbeat acoustic guitar melodies set the scene, along with plenty of percussion to get you moving. The track takes us on the journey of a sorely needed, high octane, hectic and mildly regretful night out, emphasised by the addition of a catchy and plucky synth that really brings the club atmosphere. The vocal performances from both Spencer and Nicole are enticing and dynamic, bringing you out of your seat and onto the dancefloor from start to finish.
Spencer shares, “Out Out is my summer banger for grafters looking to get away from their daily grind. Sometimes we just need a night away from real life and I think as we get older we forget how important that night is.
I actually wrote this song last year after my mate’s wedding where all the lads and their wags were free from the kids and were just right up for a sesh. It really made me appreciate that quality time I have with them, even if it ends in a good chunder!
My favourite music to get a dance on has always been a good reggaeton beat and there was no way it wasn’t going to have a latino vibe! My mate and super talented singer Nicole Silva was the perfect match to make that combo come true.
My music video sums it up really, everyone can really relate to this one in one way or another! Big love to my producer Angus Malcolm who really nailed this too.”
