Written and produced by the brothers Ross and Rocky Lynch, Leave Me Feeling Confident continues to bring us deeper into the band’s sonic world, and showcases their creative and artistic talents as it invites listeners into the band’s latest musical era.
Switching things up once again, and highlighting their artistic diversity, Leave Me Feeling Confident shows off another new side to The Driver Era’s eclectic alt-pop and rock-led sound and style; marking a change from their previous 2021 singles that include #1 Fan and Heaven Angel. A swoon-worthy and disco-tinged ode to love that is both melodic and mesmerizing, Leave Me Feeling Confident perfectly demonstrates The Driver Era’s skilful knack for delivering intoxicating and ambient alt-pop soundscapes. To add to the single release, the band also delivered an accompanying new lyric video that is equal parts compelling and entertaining with a vibey and captivating energy and aesthetic; showcasing gritty, bold and pop-art style images that are perfectly juxtaposed against animated fonts.
“There isn’t much discussion around what we want to make. We want to allow it to unfold as it happens and not put too many preconceived notions on the music. Each song tells its own story because each comes from a different part of our life. The tracks touch on our viewpoints on love and romance, on the world around us, on politics – everything. We want to allow them to take their own paths and form naturally.”
