THE DRIVER ERA: “PLACES” MUSIC VIDEO

Following on from the release of their latest single, Placeswhich dropped last monthalternative music duo, The Driver Era, are back with a brand new music video and stunning visuals for the track. Released last week, the video was directed by Ross Lynch, with assistance from brother Ryland Lynch, and filmed by their longtime creative collaborator – their cousin Gordy De St Jeor; with the music video staring Rocky alongside his real-life girlfriend, actress Alex Hopkins. With an eclectic mix of visuals, from serene poolside shots, to late night drives under city lights; the video takes you on an alternate, fictional journey of the concept Rocky originally wrote the track about.

Written, produced and recorded by Rocky Lynch while Ross was in Vancouver filming Sabrina, the idea for the song developed in the car on his way to see his girlfriend. “It’s weird because I typically write songs about past relationships and experiences,” stated Rocky. “But this time, it was about a current relationship.. it was a really weird feeling”. With some stunning visuals, that perfectly compliment the track, the record in its entirety now feels complete.
