Back with a brand new release; yesterday, world renown and 2X Grammy award nominated band The Lumineers delivered their latest new single in the form of their brand new track, BRIGHTSIDE. Marking the start of a brand new musical chapter for the band, BRIGHTSIDE comes alongside the announcement of their exciting, and highly anticipated, fourth studio album – following on from their previous record III back in 2019 – set for release January 14th of next year; with BRIGHTSIDE delivering the first taste, and marking the vibrant debut single and title track, of the upcoming album. Their most joyous and spontaneous piece of work to date, the Lumineers are setting themselves up for an incredible 2022, with more fantastic new releases on the horizon.
Produced by long-time collaborator Simone Felice and produced, mixed, and engineered by David Baron; BRIGHTSIDE opens with a thrumming and rhythmic percussive beat before a vibrant bassline emerges onto the sonic landscape in a perfect fusion of genre and energies. Seamlessly bringing together an array of different sounds, the captivating instrumental showcases rock-led guitar melodies alongside more gentle indie and indie-folk inflections. However, one of the stand out features of the dazzling soundscape are undoubtedly the bold and warm vocals from singer-guitarist and co-founder Wesley Schultz that truly capture and hold your attention from the very first note. Alongside the single, they also released a stunning and cinematic sky-based visualizer that brings you that bit deeper into the world of BRIGHTSIDE and The Lumineers.
