The Perfumers release Alt-Pop single ‘American Model’

The Perfumers have just released a summer anthem and we can’t wait for you to hear it.

Blending 1975-esc jangly riffs with a wall of echo, delay and reverb, this tune has all the ingredients for a singalong banger. Whilst the track presents itself in a happy skin, the core of the track surrounds the band wanting to air their frustrations with American politics and call for change.

Talking about the new single, The Perfumers share:

“We were inspired by the political discourse in the United States and how capitalism affects a person’s everyday life. What we want people to take away from the track is that we need to work together to build a better society for our future generation. To advocate for climate change, Anti-racism, and the LGBTQIA+ community. Also to not worry about the societal expectations that are put on people.”

Jordan Kortenber (guitar, vocals, producer), Sayge Kortenber (drums, producer), and Malakai Bisel (bass, vocals, producer) make up The Perfumers and all play into their influences, moulding together and creating a unique sound. We can’t wait to see where the band will take this.
