Thomas Heppell captures the heart of blues with self-titled album

Thomas Heppell has returned with his next major release after his debut EP ‘Be My Home’. The self-titled album sets out to continue to capture the heart of blues, whilst mixing in sensibilities of jazz and rock & roll. Across the 11 tracks, Thomas takes us on an autobiographical journey, bringing in vulnerabilities and life experiences into his lyricism as he encapsulates the essence of who he is. On this self-reflective adventure, Thomas draws from fleeting moments in a car, the warmth of home, or the allure of foreign lands, each one given with a heartfelt performance.

Thomas adds, “The album is about the blues at its core, with bits going out into different genres, such as country, rock and jazz. The songs go from situations about love to painful lows, with the intention of connecting to the listener and healing inside of them. These are the stories of Thomas Heppell”.

Performing at venues and events including The Tuesday Night Club in London, Lincoln Jazz Cafe, Broadstairs Blues Bash, Swanage Blues Festival, and Weyfest, Thomas Heppell, alongside his band Howard Head and Jack Bryant, has made a name for his unique and nostalgic sound.

Alongside achieving nominations at the UK Blues Awards for Best Young, Emerging, and Acoustic Blues Artist, Thomas also received airwaves from Jazz FM and Blues Radio UK, cementing his position as an artist on the rise.
