Yesterday, alt-rock singer-songwriter Zoe Zobrist released her brand new single, and first new release of the year, Fade Away.
Following on from her 2020 single Fire, and the release of a stunning live performance of the track earlier this month; yesterday, rising alt-rock artist Zoe Zobrist delivered her brand new single and first release of the year – Fade Away. Hailing from Dallas, Texas, now living in Los Angeles, Zoe crafts songs that are as personal as they are dynamic and filled with a captivating range of genre-blending melodies. Continuing to place her mark on the music scene, Zoe has spent the past few years refining her sound, honing her craft, and experimenting with a range of different styles; ultimately culminating in her personal and unique blend of classic rock inspired indie music. And Fade Way is no exception.
An exercise in self-forgiveness and acceptance of unresolved trauma, Fade Away delivers a universal and relatable message all about the ups and downs of making your way through the different chapters of life. Opening with a gentle guitar melody, the soft instrumental instantly brings you into the immersive and emotive sonic landscape of the track. Building upon the same energy we get from Zoe’s earlier releases, the stripped-back acoustic guitar delivers an ambient and poignant atmosphere, filled with a sense of raw intimacy, that immediately envelops the listener into her thoughts and both artistic and personal world. Adding to the sonic landscape and guiding the track along, are Zoe’s delicate and enchanting vocals that bring the narrative to life.
“It’s about growing pains and healing as you work your way to and from different chapters in your life. It’s about looking towards something better while also embracing the process that it takes to get there”.
