Alexandra King bridges roots and resilience on new EP ‘Across the Pond’

Irish-American singer-songwriter Alexandra King has released her new EP ‘Across the Pond’, a heartfelt four-track collection that blends tradition and personal storytelling. Recorded with producer Evan Sieling and mixed by Grammy-winner Craig Alvin (Golden Hour), the EP draws from King’s deep ties to Ireland and her own transatlantic journey.

Featuring two originals and two traditional covers, ‘Across the Pond’ explores beauty, belonging, and memory, rooted in both family heritage and lived experience. It follows the warmly received single ‘Freckles (In An Old Pub)’, which Hot Press called “a warm, wry nod to the kind of night you only find in Ireland.”

The project also marks a remarkable personal milestone. After a spinal cord injury nearly ended her ability to walk or play music, King returned to writing during recovery, now performing with a voice shaped by resilience, healing, and hard-won perspective.
